13 years ago we lost Doobie 6 years old to cancer. My 2 1/2 year old grand daughter Lilli had been his hospice nurse. I said never again!! 6 months later Scooby maybe 1 year old was rescued. Chris saved him from drowning in a retention pond near their business. Chris, Jenny and boys named him ACE. Animal Control Escapee. They lived at end of my street. A week later he is at our house. He was a work in progress with the grandchildren. He loved everyone. People, dogs, cats. Bark loud to say HI. He would sit at end of driveway and stare at Chris and Jenny’s house, never would leave the yard. He did that , we did not train him. They moved 7 years ago. Walk the block no leash. Loved car rides. Pup cups. Girls at Chix fil A loved him. Loved his stuffed frogs and blankets. Wonderful support thru my cancer treatment. He was Amazing. Nov 29th he was diagnosed with mouth cancer. It was suggested I let him go that day. I had to bring him home. Good byes were hard. Family and friends. Lilli sat days with him. Cooper slept with him. Dec 4 go outside for morning routine. He had not walked any great distance in a while. He walked to Chris and Jenny’s old house. No leash he was determined to go there. We came home and I was on a mission to find them. I did. Took Scooby to see them. Gently they tell me about their business Animal Kingdom Pet Services. They offered when the time came they would take Scooby. Due to circumstances I could not use the Vet they use. Chris came to my house Dec 12 when we said our final Good Bye. Scooby started with them and ended with them. I had a lot peace knowing them and their love of all things living. Dignity, love, patience. Scooby is with Doobie waiting for us. Missing my sweet Puppy.
