Tribute:

At 10 pm March 17 2024 Charlie Brown Vasquez Wootten, aka “precious jewel”, aka Charwy, crossed over the rainbow 🌈 bridge to meet up with his best friend. From the moment I brought Charlie home from being adopted, he immediately took to dad, who had Alzheimer’s, putting himself between dads feet and was always by his side. First thing Charlie would do in the morning when we got up was go sit outside dads door until his hooman woke up. They’d spend breakfast together while dad ate his cheerios before going out in the back yard to catch some rays, watching airplanes fly over or sometimes just having conversations with each other. Then, when they’d had enough, they’d come in for a nap. Sometimes laying in bed together or sometimes dad would lay in the floor while Charlie slept in his doggie bed. They were two peas in a pod together. After mom and dad moved to the nursing facility, Charlie was only able to see dad on a couple of occasions. The last time was the night I took him to lay with his best friend while I had a conversation with dad about mom’s passing. Dad passed away early the next morning. This picture is Charlie all dressed up for mom and dad’s funeral. I am so thankful that Charlie was saved from the kill shelter by the rescue that his foster momma Mindy Vazquez works with so that he and dad could find each other. Charlie gave us more than we could have ever given him. I can’t think of any better proof of why you should adopt and not shop. RIP Charlie Brown 😪😪❤️❤️🌈🌈💔💔
